Spinifex Brewing Company - F88 Campaign announcement Queensland - Northern Territory

4th November 2020

SPINIFEX BREWING COMPANY CEO Adam Barnard today announced the signing and official appointment of Queensland based charity partner and brand representative in Queensland and the Northern Territory as Trek2Health. https://www.trek2health.org.au/

Trek2Health is an organisation founded with the single-minded objective to provide ongoing support to ADF Personnel, First Responders to Emergency Services personal such as firefighters, EMTs, and police officers in our communities. Trek2Health hope to develop meaningful programs, resources and assistance to address specific needs related to AFR Veterans, First Responders and their families, including but not limited to post-traumatic stress treatment, critical incident support, outreach and community engagement.

"SPINIFEX Brewing Co has a strong following in Queensland and was poised for great success with the launch of our F88 Lager in late February 2020. Unfortunately the onset of Covid restrictions and shutdowns less than four weeks after our official launch wreaked havoc on our plans as it did for many businesses and with travel restrictions in play it was necessary to wind back our initial plans and focus primarily on growing the brand in our home state of Western Australia."

"As a veteran myself and on behalf of the Spinifex team I am delighted to be making this announcement today. The appointment of Trek2Health under the leadership of its Chairman David Esler and CEO Bruce Barker represents a huge opportunity for both parties as we look to greatly expand our presence of not just F88 Lager but the full range of Spinifex Beers in Queensland".

The F88 Campaign will donate 50% of profits raised to a state based charity. With restrictions now easing post COVID-19 we are looking to aggressively re-enter the market in QLD and we are delighted to have the connections and potential that David, Bruce and the team can bring"

F88 Campaign honors the memory of Sig Geffrey Gregg who sadly took his life as a result of PTSD in September 2006.

Trek2Health Chairman David Esler

"Trek2Health is thrilled to announce a formal partnership with Spinifex Brewing Co.

Spinifex Brewing Co is a Veteran owned business based in Perth whose business model has been designed to ensure maximum benefit for Aboriginal businesses in the supply chain with native ingredients provided by indigenous producers in South West WA.

As part of our partnership with Spinifex, 50% of all profits for their F88 Lager range will be donated to Trek2Health for Queensland and Northern Territory sales.

Trek2Health’s philosophy is one of developing personal resilience through nature and we believe in the benefits of personal interactions and camaraderie. Nothing captures the quintessentially Australian essence of mateship more than having a chat and a quiet beer with mates at the end of the day.

F88 Lager is currently supplied across a wide range of military establishments as well as pubs, clubs and taverns nationally. We’re excited to support Spinifex in expanding their distribution across Queensland and Northern Territory.

This is an on the court example of a veteran owned business supporting other veterans as these profits will allow Trek2Health to deliver face-to-face programs, directly supporting veterans and first responders"
