Six Peel projects share $780,000 in Regional Economic Development (RED) Grant funding
McGowan Government's RED Grants creating jobs and diversifying economies across regional WA
Six Peel region businesses will receive almost $800,000 towards projects that create local jobs and support the local economy under round four of the McGowan Government's Regional Economic Development (RED) Grants. The RED Grants program is a McGowan Government initiative investing $40.8 million over seven years in locally-driven projects to stimulate economic growth in the regions. Spinifex Brewery will receive $150,000 to increase its packaged beer sales in the Australian domestic market and export the "Taste of Australia" range to the world by installing a canning line in the Spinifex production brewery within the WA Food Innovation Precinct.
"Spinifex is delighted to be a recipient of this round of RED grant funding for our Nambeelup Manufacturing Facility. The grant will go a long way towards funding our state of the art canning line as part of our 24HL steam fired brewing facility. Spinifex will be commencing export of our beer in Q1 2022 prior to the commissioning of Nambeelup.. Adam Barnard CEO.
