Spinifex Brewing Co is proud to announce a two year -Preferred Product Agreement with Foodbuy.


Foodbuy are one of the largest national foodservice and hospitality procurement and supply chain organisations in Australia and the sole sourcing partner for parent company Compass Group Australia. Foodbuy offers its clients an unmatched advantage through economies of scale and dedicated procurement, contracting, and supply management with a longstanding and recognised commitment to supporting Australian growers, manufacturers and SME’s.


As we know, Australia is the home to some of the world’s most diverse flora. Thanks to our nation’s abundance of vastly different biomes, the sheer number of unique botanicals available is truly incredible and until recently relatively untouched.

Australia’s Aboriginal population has been experimenting and harnessing the full potential of its native fauna for tens of thousands of years, and now Spinifex is working to bring these ingredients to the forefront.

Spinifex Brewing Co is an idea that started with Mick Little, a Noongar man who had been keen to incorporate native ingredients into beer for some time. Working with his long-time friend John Gibbs, a keen botanist and homebrewer, and Steve Jansen, the trio started to brew some beer. After extensive trials, the trio were feeling ready to hit the market when three became four. Adam Barnard, an Army veteran with a business background, joined as Chief Executive Officer and helped launch Spinifex to market in February 2020.


"Spinifex continues to go from strength to strength and with our brand-new purpose built 24HL Brewing facility under construction as part of our anchor tenancy to the Shire of Murray WA Food Innovation Precinct and due to open in just 6 months’ time the preferred product agreement with Foodbuy is yet another major step for this unique brand. Spinifex is currently working on several low and non-alcoholic products for the resources and hospitality sector which we feel will be a great addition to our product range."
